Dabney Belcastro is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with a dynamic range of experience. Throughout her career as a therapist, Dabney has worked with clients of all ages in outpatient, inpatient, and community-based mental health settings. Her training in Somatic Experiencing, developed by Dr. Peter Levine, is a body-oriented approach to resolving traumatic life experiences and disruptive physiological patterns.
Dabney’s passion is providing trauma-informed care. She takes a cognitive-behavioral and a strengths-based approach with her clients, while integrating attachment, mindfulness, Gestalt, and body-oriented psychotherapies to assist with her client’s journey towards a brighter future.
Dabney has a special interest in working with teens and young adults who struggle with managing trauma-related feelings and behaviors. Dabney believes strongly in developing a strong therapeutic foundation with her clients and helping clients realize the human capacity for resilience and healing. She respects that each client’s journey is their own and humbly acknowledges her role as a supportive guide in that journey.
