Diana has an outstanding academic background that includes two Bachelor’s Degrees (a BS in Psychology and a BS in Nursing from ODU) and two Master’s Degrees (a MS in Nursing Leadership & Administration from Old Dominion University and a MS from the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at VCU.
Diana Boutté is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of healthcare experience. Diana began her career in health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant, working with older adults in a long-term care facility. Diana has also worked as a Registered Nurse in various roles in inpatient and outpatient settings.
In addition to Diana’s extensive clinical experience, she has an outstanding academic background. Diana Boutté’s educational background includes two Bachelor’s Degrees (a BS in Psychology and a BS in Nursing from Old Dominion University), and two Master’s Degrees (a MS in Nursing Leadership & Administration from Old Dominion University and a MS from the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Virginia Commonwealth University).
At Old Towne Counseling Services, Diana’s primary clinical focus is caring for clients age 6 and up with mental health disorders including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, developmental disorders (including autism spectrum), and posttraumatic stress disorder.
Diana also completes psychiatric evaluations and provides medication management to her patients. Diana utilizes evidence-based practice modalities while focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders.
Diana relies on a holistic and biopsychosocial approach when she’s developing treatment plans. In addition, Diana focuses on treating patients from a clinical, emotional, mental, spiritual, social, cultural and genetic perspective.
Diana Boutté’s mission is to provide her patients with patient-centered care and to help restore and increase her patient’s mental stability and well-being. Diana is committed to providing her patients with compassionate, personalized, and high-quality care. Her goal, when working with new patients, is to develop a therapeutic alliance with them. She does this by working collaboratively with her patients, providing support, and being attentive to her patient’s needs.
In her free time, Diana enjoys spending time outdoors with her children and husband, watching football, cooking and crafting.
