Counseling Services for FamiliesAlso known as family counseling, and family therapy.
Our mission at Old Towne Counseling Services is to provide all your family members with a safe, comforting, and productive family counseling experience. Our therapists are here to help your family work better together.
Do you need help getting the members of your family to all agree to taking steps towards a brighter family life? Our goal through family counseling is to restore peace, encourage cooperation, and foster on-going improvements that’ll last for years to come.
LGBTQ-IA Family Counseling.
We happily welcome the entire Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual community. We provide therapy and support for families in the GSM and LGBTQ+ community who are experiencing oppression, discrimination, harassment, and marginalization due to a family member’s sexual and romantic orientation and/or gender identity. Here at Old Towne Counseling we have therapists who are either members of, or in full support of, the LGBTQ-IA community. Let us help your family members walk with pride.
As a parent, it is your responsibility to be there for your child. Unfortunately, when the parents separate, the parenting responsibilities are rarely 50/50. As a result of a divorce, or separation, the children and the parents don’t really know the best way to move forward. We’re here to help you be the best mom or dad that you can be, despite the circumstances. If you need emotional support or guidance with co-parenting, please reach out us.
Parent-Child Relationship Therapy.
A healthy parent-child relationship is an essential factor for a child’s well-being. In Parent-Child Therapy, parents learn how to respond more effectively to their child’s emotional and behavioral needs. Also, with therapy, children can learn to count on their parents to meet their needs for love, acceptance, safety, and security. If you need help limiting their child’s problematic behavior, while demonstrating empathy and respect for them, please reach out to us.
