KARI BEGANIE

KARI BEGANIE, SUPERVISEE IN SOCIAL WORK

Supervisee in Social Work

I seek to provide empathetic support to help guide you through healing and positive change. Life changes and transitions can be difficult and I look forward to assisting you with promoting growth in your life. Having worked in the field for a number of years as well as graduating with my masters in social work from VCU, I’ve gained valuable experience working in substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment.

My areas of expertise include substance use disorder for the individual and family, building self- esteem, and developing motivation for change using a strength based, solution focused approach. I am trauma- informed and utilize cognitive behavioral therapy strategies.

I recognize that building rapport is the most important aspect of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to provide a safe, comfortable approach to meet your mental health needs.
